The 2008 Jon Pritchard Award for Histiocytosis Research has been announced.
CALL TO SUBMIT LETTERS OF INTENT FOR RESEARCH PROPOSALS
The HRT is a UK charity dedicated to supporting research into histiocytoses aimed at developing rational cures. Applications for research on any form of histiocytosis will be welcomed. Funds are now available to support a project of up to three years duration on the scale of a research worker and consumable costs. Favourable consideration will be given to proposals linking basic and clinical science but the overriding consideration will be scientific excellence. Letters of intent should consist of no more than 2 A4 pages. One page should set out the key objectives of the research and provide a brief description of the background, methods to be used and key references. The second page should describe the principal investigator and research facilities, and indicate the source and availability of clinical samples if these are to be used.
Applicants should submit letters of intent to PCL Beverley at the Edward Jenner Institute for Vaccine Research, Compton, UK, by e-mail only at peter.beverley@jenner.ac.uk by November 16th 2007.
Proposals will be reviewed by an Independent Scientific Review Board convened by
the HRT (currently PCL Beverley, A Fischer, R Jaffe, VH Perry and R Steinman).
